As we write this, we are nestled under the blanket of deep midwinter. Marshmallowy mounds of snow create an idyllic picture outside our window and nearby, the frozen river plays host to prints aplenty; boots and paws both big and small line the familiar walking trail along the bank.

Hoar frost ices the branches of trees and the sky appears the most vibrant of blues - as if painted to perfectly complement the crisp white canvas below. Our cheeks flush as we meet the warmth walking through the door, tossing our hat in a nearby basket and our scarf on a nearby hook. We head to the kitchen to boil water for tea.

It is in these midwinter moments that this playlist took shape, with songs that float through the air like snowflakes, poised to accompany cold hands and warm hearts.
