"Summer gathered in the weather, the wind had the proper touch, the breathing of the world was long and warm and slow. You had only to rise, lean from your window, and know that this was the first real time of freedom and living; this was the first morning of summer."

Soaking in the Light That Lingers
After the bustling hum that runs hand-in-hand with spring, a relaxed form of jubilance dances in the summer air.
There is an unmistakable ease that appears on the scene, inspiring moments of quiet decadence and a lightness of living.

The quiet decadence of freshly washed fruit from the market laid out lovingly on a cotton towel;
Of walking barefoot through the grass on a hot day, letting the cool green blades bring subtle relief from the rising sun above;
Of open calendars, impromptu dinners, and evenings spent listening to a band you hadn't heard before but will be sure to remember;
Of sitting quietly on a dock at the lake, feet in the water - cold, refreshing, and a gentle reminder that where you are right now is exactly where you're meant to be.

Summer boasts a light that lingers;
Like the gardens tended, we soak up each sun-drenched moment to its fullest - memories perform like precious nutrients, carrying us through the coming months.
On darker days and cooler nights, there is a softness that stirs, a light that taps gently on our minds;
Of bright skies, and hot days;
Of cheeky glasses of rosé in the garden, and catnaps in the grass;
Of casual kitchens, and vibrant fresh fruits;
Of knowing that we let each moment linger in blissful, quiet, summery decadence.
