It has been some time since we’ve personally shared our own thoughts on our Journal – a platform where we’ve begun to share insights on design, material, lifestyle, the product we source, and every so often – to report on things happening behind the scenes and in our lives.
If you happen to follow us on social media, you may have noticed behind the scenes imagery of a lovely little space, quickly coming together. Neighboured by the comforting buzz of a local coffee shop ( Thom Bargen ) and the busy intersection of Kennedy Street and Graham Avenue, you’ll find the soon-to-be serene space of our new shop location.
Inside, smooth custom walls are the point of interest – articulated with curved nooks and niches. The space expresses a calming balance of natural material and clean geometries, developed by local interior architect and maker – Renee Struthers of Studio Hiraeth . Her work has become well-known and admired locally for her subtle, minimalist, yet intricate design language.
