The autumnal pace is an unhurried one. There is little to rush about this time of year.
It is the perfect time to lean into the lingering beauty decorating our days.

After a glorious summer, the garden beds and wildflowers appear to be indulging us, their audience, in a stunning encore of vivid colour; they’ve been perfecting this performance all season long.
Flowers are especially captivating in their final bloom; they appear more beautiful than even amid the summer heat.
Perhaps a longing to be remembered, to secure a spot in next season’s seedlings.

Next up are the leaves; they take their final bow in a stunning display of colour, swirling around our heads, crunchy beneath our boots.
Outside the air is crisp; the days grow shorter as the sun bids an early adieu, welcoming the blissful moon to take centre stage.

Slowly, we pull ourselves away from this glorious display to move indoors.
We light candles and layer linens, we put on comfortable knits and exchange our sandals for warm woollen socks, we decorate our tables and fill our bellies with deliciously slow-cooked meals.

The autumnal pace is an unhurried one. There is little to rush and we enjoy the stillness.
